“We loved with a love that was more than love.” – Edgar Allan Poe (Annabel Lee)

My Thoughts:

If you are wondering what poem this is from, it is from the poem called: “Annabel Lee.” I highly suggest reading it as it is just wonderfully written. Every time I read poems by Edgar Allan Poe, I always wonder how did he have the literature he has during the era he was born. My favorite poet of all time is him, Edgar Allan Poe and if you are wondering why it is because his writings a work of art.

7th Grade

I first found out about Edgar Allan Poe when I was in 7th grade in Roosevelt Middle School in Glendale, California. My teacher Ms. Clark was just in love with him and the love she had of the poem The Raven just touched to me. I started falling in love with the poems just as she was. It’s like she passed down the love from her to me and I just liked it.

School in Glendale

If she didn’t read to us his poems with enthusiasm and love, I might not have liked it. I mean I still would have liked it, but not at an extreme level. Because she read it with so much passion, it is the passion that lives in me. I just want to thank her for being my English teacher during 7th grade. As I went to Glendale High School, I saw her there teaching. Assuming she went higher grade level. Anyway, I highly recommend her as a teacher because she was just so great.

Long Ago

At the same time, I was in middle school and high school just about twenty years ago. I’m not sure how the time flies by, but I wish it flew by very great for her.
