“You fall down 100 times, you get up 100 times, you learn 100 lessons.” – Mike Tyson

Well, assuming that he didn’t bite 100 ears, then he may just be right. (LOL) This to me means to never give up to keep going until you reach the top. However, it’s not always the case as boxing is one of the hardest sports to make it in. Actually, the more I think of it, it may just be the hardest sport to really make it. Only a very people have made it in boxing and 99% just fail.

Most people just Quit

When it comes to boxing, most people just quit as it can be brain damaging. Also, after couple years of never making it, naturally people move on to something else. Most boxers move on to something more safe and more promising for the future. Also, some boxers just don’t move on and keep fighting. Many boxers have a dream one day they are going to be a champion and that one day never comes.

My saying is that: “many people fall 100 times, get up 100 times, but don’t learn anything.” In other words, after each fall, you got to diagnose why you fell and improve to not fall again.

Anway, this is easy for Mike Tyson to say it as he made it to be a champion. But it’s just one of the hardest sports and most people just ruin their health in the process by training inaccurately.

Furthermore, this quote may make big sense to other things in life. But when it comes to boxing, I think this is the result most boxers are getting:

“You fall down 100 times, get up 100 times, and learns 100% nothing.” The world we are in now is different than it was 3 decades ago. Everything is just so much easier now as technology is changing our lives. Many fighters think that they may have wasted time in boxing. However, I think they have absolutely succeeded just by trying. One of the hardest sports of all time.

In Conclusion

Great quote by Mike Tyson, but judging by his fight with Hollyfield, what lesson did he learn?
