We Learn…
10% of what we read,
20% of what we hear,
30% of what we see,
50% of what we see and hear,
70% of what we discuss,
80% of what we experience,
95% of what we teach others.
– William Glasser

My Thoughts:

I almost feel like we are monkeys from the movie: “Planet of the Apes.” It is obvious that we all learn very differently and that everyone has a different method of learning. Some learn more easier than others, but many are struggling with it. I am also struggling as I’m older and when you get older everything just slows down. As you age, everything ages with you including your mind. Then it’s as if you get dumber in a way, but realistically you are just slower. In other words, you may need more time to study then if you were young again.

Not True

William Glasser may have a point here, but I don’t think it is backed by science. It is just his point of view and everyone has their own point of view to it. For me, reading is a must when it comes to learning. If I read over and over again, it’s as if I am learning better and better each time. So, 10% would be low for me, but this is why everyone is just different. Even animals have a different paste of learning which some struggle with it just like humans.

Go to School

If you really want to learn something, just go to school. If you try to learn alone, it might be a challenge. However, if you are attending school or college, you might just see how much more convenient it is. I have to go back to college myself and I am not ready now, but next year I have plans on taking some classes. You just got to do it in life.
