“There are all kinds of futures.
There is a hoped-for future,
there is a feared future,
there is a predictable future,
and there is an unimagined future.”
– Werner Erhard

My Thoughts:

Well, what can I say other than that there is a different future for everyone. Some people have a happy future and some sad, it is just your own future. Everyone’s future is very unique and that is how it is supposed to be. There is nobody with the same exact future which is what separates us from one another.

Hoped-for

I think this type of future is one that you hope for, but it just doesn’t happen. For instance, if I plan on becoming a firefighter and it just doesn’t happen then I fall into this category.

Feared

Currently I have many fears in my life and seems like this is the future for me. I’m unhappy about it, but I understand that it is God’s work in me. I’m right now sad that my neighbors are moving after 12 years. They knew me when I was normal and when I was stressed. Now I’m kind of worried of who’s going to move in and how are they going to accept me? I don’t know but seems like everything is going to be good soon.

Predictable

This is the one that is the most obvious. For example, if you dedicate your life to be a doctor, it is almost predictable that you will become one. Or just about in anything in life. If you work hard and dedicate yourself towards it, then all can be possible.

Unimagined

I guess this is the one with a twist at the end. As if I was going to be a doctor, but I end up being an engineer instead. Most cases, I think all of us can be where we want to be without quitting.
