“Smile!” – McDonalds

My Thoughts:

What can I say other than that I have mixed emotions when it comes to smiling. Well, for first of all if I was going to McDonald’s and everyone was just smiling at me, I would think there probably is a problem with me. Second, smiling kind of stands out in a way which is kind of awkward.

My Preference

What I would want to feel when going to McDonald’s is a natural flow of experience. Meaning, I don’t want the workers to smile at me, but rather just go with the flow of normal behavior that is not out of the way. Normally, they don’t smile anyway, but I’m not exactly sure what McDonald’s is referring to when they say smile. I’m not sure if they want the workers to smile or the customers.

Workers

If they are referring to the workers, then I find it pretty sad. I mean how much can you smile in a day? Also, fake smiling is not really interesting too. As a guest when I order from McDonald’s I don’t want them to smile at me, I just want them to give me my food. I want them to be nice, but with normal behaviors. I expect the workers to have their own unique look and I don’t prefer them to smile at me.

Customers

As a customer, smiling is not really my personality when ordering food. Yes, I’m happy I’m about to eat, but I mean I don’t expect to smile about it. I just want the workers to do the job correctly by giving me the correct order. Also, I would want them to not rush me when I’m in the drive thru. Most of the time I notice they are rushing at the drive thru. I think they should take their time at all times and never rush.

More Workers

I also want to add that McDonald’s really needs extra workers. Most of the time the workers are working super crazy, and I think it’s time to someone realize that they are very short in staff. Every McDonald’s I go to I always think to myself why can’t they add 2 extra workers?
