New pizza from Papa Johns and this time it is Pan Pizza. Sometimes, this is just what I crave and decided to give Papa Johns a try. Well, it sure is just as good as it looks but I really think it is not thick enough. It satisfies all the cravings of a pizza except for the size. I really think this Pan Pizza from Papa Johns needs to be a bit thicker to be complete as a PAN Pizza. However, great tasting and very enjoyable regardless of the size. Also, just to mention that it is available only in size Medium. Well, let's get right to the pizza.
Pan Pizza Review
Crust
As soon as you walk in the store, there is a poster that says, "Edge-To-Edge Sauce & Cheese." However, on my pizza seems like there is two edges going on. As if it is a mountain starting from one edge and raising higher to the next. Pretty interesting crust and I just love seeing the burned parts on the edges as it just feels good. Also, I got this well done and so good as is.
6 Cheeses
Parmesan
Romano
Asiago
Fontina
Provolone
Mozzarella
Even though it has all these cheeses, it tastes as if the Mozzarella is dominating the entire cheese in the middle of the pizza. However, the edge has a cooked Parmesan Cheese taste that just is so suiting and pleasing. Very delicious on the cheese on the crust and the crust is just my favorite part.
My toppings
Spinach
Roma Tomatoes
Jalapeño Peppers
I decided to go veggie as veggie just happens to be my favorite style on pizza. I just wish there was an option to choose basil instead of spinach. I love the Italian Seasoning on the pizza and great tasting pizza and kind of buttery too.
Overall
I loved the entire pizza from start to finish and thought it was just good as is just wished it was like 20% thicker. The Honey Chipotle Wings didn't really go well with the Ranch, so I just dipped it more in the Honey Chipotle Sauce that it is in. The Garlic Knots was good with the Pizza Sauce and I like the Garlic Parmesan Seasoning. I recommend trying this pizza.
