“Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” – Romans 5:3‭-‬5

For those who are suffering this is a wakeup call that we are being watched by him. to break it down:

  • suffering produces endurance
  • endurance produces character
  • character produces hope
  • hope doesn’t put us to shame

In a way, it all starts from suffering because those who suffer are living under God. Only does who suffer can truly build the hope from within. People who don’t suffer or never suffered, never really had the opportunity to develop endurance, character, or hope. They really don’t know the value of life, even though they think they know, but they never suffered to know what a suffered person knows. This is important that if a person has never suffered, most likely has never produced hope.

Most People

Average person thinks they are true with God, and they hope and forgive. As close as they think they are with God, their actions are only the opposite. They say in their mind that they truly believe, yet they go and live under other people’s expectations. They drive expensive cars so others can value them, but where is the true value in life? This type of people never had the privilege to produce endurance as everything is given to them. They don’t have character as they need to be valued by others. On top of that, they think they have hope and living holy.

People who live under other people’s expectations are at lost in life to begin with. This is why I say, life your life how you want, not by others.
