Jesus said, “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven.” – Mark 10:21

My Thoughts:

I know that whatever Jesus says it is said in purpose so we can follow it. Therefore, there is really nothing to think about here except to do as it says. In a way I feel like I’m poor to be able to do as that. But I do try my best in many ways as possible. For example, with left over toys I donate them to Goodwill or Out of the Closet. If I have cloth that I don’t wear anymore, I donate them.

Donate

What this passage means to me is to donate to people who need it most. If you have stuff laying around your house, why not just donate them. Give it to the people who will use it which in a way it’s like recycling it.

Rules to Donate

If you have cloth that is over 5 years old, then that is automatically a donation item. It’s kind of embarrassing seeing someone wear something for over 5 years. If you have stuff laying in the house that you haven’t used for over a year, donate it. If there is stuff you might need it later, chances are you probably won’t. Or if you do, just buy it again and you might even find better one. If you have so many plates and cups laying around in a cabinet. If they are extra, just donate them and when you need it again, but new set.

Sell it!

Just maybe it’s better to sell everything you have. Possibly it’s time to furnish your house with different stuff and give what you have to people who need it. Always keep it in your mind to help others so you can be helped too.
