“If you haven’t got anything nice to say about anybody, come sit next to me.” – Alice Roosevelt Longworth

My Thoughts:

I guess this is a funny one as two are just alike. Maybe if nothing nice is being said, it can mean that they are close friends. Regardless of anything, what’s really the point to even say anything nice for? Most people when they gossip, it is never because of anything nice. Because what would be the point of that. People are used to gossiping negativity about the person and not anything nice. Now I feel like I’m going to go to naughty list of Santa Clause.

Why Negative?

Why is it that when people talk about one another it just has to be about negativity? Well, the answer is pretty simple: it just isn’t interesting when you talk about goodness. If you talk about just how amazing the person is, what interest would that make in a conversation. However, it all depends on the person.

It is just like almost as if everyone is like this. Why? Well, it’s easy: no one is going to talk bad about you to you. They are going to talk about it to someone else because that just makes sense. I mean you’re not going to tell someone that their hair is so ugly. But you will talk about it to someone else about that person’s hair.

Just Be Positive

As negativity is obviously grabbing all of the attention and gossip. It is a choice, and you can keep it positive and nice. You don’t have to talk negative about anyone. I like to think that people who talk negative about someone actually are negative themselves. Therefore, they end up being friends with people just like them.

In other words, you have a choice, you choose.
