“Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love; this is the eternal rule.” – The Buddha

My Thoughts:

As you may have known, The Buddha is just always right, and you just got to believe it. Whatever The Buddha says, it goes. Try it for yourself to believe just how right it is.

Eternal Rule

The eternal rule is absolutely right and if you try to cease it by hatred, it just grows to stronger hate. Therefore, only love can stop the hatred, but you need to put the work in too. You can’t just think it’s going to be an easy task. You might just wonder how hard it is, but with practice it is easier than you think. If there is something that you hate in life, think of ways to look at it that will make you love it. Or think of ways it will help you to live neutral with it, with no hate.

Foods

For example, is there a food that you hate but you just don’t care about it. Let’s say you hate chicken tenders, well if you come across it you will just bypass it. This bypass will just be ignored as you will eat something else that you like. Even though you might hate the chicken tenders, it won’t affect your mind and body with hate as you will eat something else. Therefore, what I’m trying to say is treat hate as a food that you don’t like. Don’t let hate play in your mind and heart, just bypass it as you would do to food.

At the same time when it comes to a food that you don’t like. Try it couple times as sometimes it takes couple attempts to like something that you don’t like. Sometimes you think you don’t like it, then when you try it and it is so delicious.
