“Go to the people.
Live among them.
Learn from them.
Love them.
Serve them.”
– Y. C. James Yen

My Thoughts:

Don’t forget to have sex with them, LOL (joking.) This saying by Y.C. James Yen is a must and even though it seems very simple it can be more complicated than it seems.

Go

We must go to the people and to be there for them. This means that provide your energy for others and be there for them. Don’t just sit back and wait for someone to come to you when you can go to them.

Live

If you want to understand people, you just need to live with them. As you live you will grow and get used to them. At the same time, you will understand the people. It may seem complicated, but it is just a way of living.

Learn

Learning from the people it just never ends. There is just so much to learn and it’s an ongoing cycle that just never ends. When you are done learning something, there is something else that needs to be learned. I think this learning is given to us just so that we never stop. Very powerful and important to learn all the time.

Love

This is important to say that you can’t go on hating people. The only cure for hate is love and you need to spread it to everyone. Regardless of who you come across, spread the joy to them and make them feel loved.

Serve

Of course, you need to serve them which in return they serve you back. Kind of like giving and receiving. You give something and you get something back. In other words, what goes around comes around. Serve people with pride and full of joy. Don’t serve people with negativity. Be helpful everyone you come across.
