So, on Monday I got an email from Glendale Community College GCC Mobile Food Pantry. The email said that on Wednesday February 3, 2021 they are going to hand out free food to everyone. Everyone, meaning, students, families, friends, and neighbors can get free food. The free food is given by the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and given to the first 1,500 cars that arrive. Due to safety everyone attending must be in a vehicle and no walk ins are welcome due to safety.

Free for Everyone

I’ve gotten this email of this Food Pantry from GCC many times and for the first time I decided to give it a try and to see if its actually free. Yes, absolutely 100% free and free for everyone. You don’t have to be a student to attend, in fact they don’t even ask for ID or anything. As you pull up they put all the food in the trunk with out asking for name or student id or anything like that.

They ask you to put the car on Parking and to lift up the trunk door so they could put the boxes inside. The questions they ask is, “How many families is it for and how many people per family.” I was alone in the car and they told me I could get it for up to 2 families. However, if there is more than 1 person in the car I’m not sure if each could get it for 2 families, or if its each car can qualify for up to 2 families. But anyway I got it for 2 families and I kept one for me and gave the other.

Thank You!

I just want to say thank you to Glendale Community College GCC & Los Angeles Regional Food Bank for this Food Pantry. I did get free foods and groceries for 2 families and very thankful of this opportunity given to people in this times of covid-19 pandemic. If you are a student and you got an email from GCC regarding this Mobile Food Pantry, I put this video together for you. So, I can share with you guys my experience and what types of foods they gave. I’m very grateful for times like this that there are organizations out there that are helping as much as they can. So, thank you for all the best you guys are trying to give and help.

I like the variety of foods they gave and it was very nice because they had cheese and caned spaghetti sauce and that’s exactly what I was craving. I already had pasta so I went ahead and made spaghetti for dinner. The boxed groceries gave me food ideas to make later. Also, just want to say, if you are going to the Mobile Food Pantry try to go ahead of time because it does get pact. I was there at 12:30 afternoon and I was maybe the 75th car in line. As, this starts at 1 which means by 1pm there will probably be like 200 cars in line. So do yourselves a favor and go ahead of time.

To not cause any confusion this GCC is the one in California.
