“For food that stays our hunger, for rest that brings us ease, for homes where memories linger, we give our thanks for these.” – Anonymous

My Thoughts:

I’m not sure who said this, but it almost sounds like a prayer. Feels like a very generous quote and something you can think about when you are thankful.

Food

I’m not exactly sure what the person means with, “For food that stays our hunger.” I feel like it’s trying to say that if we eat minimally, but correctly it’s good enough. As if don’t eat with all you can but control your hunger. Eat enough to get you by the day and yes you may feel hungry, but at least you made it through the day.

I kind of honor this food saying as eating minimally, feels as if you are doing it for God. It is a sign of respect towards him who created us and gave us this body. That we are not living for fun, but we are living to get the job done who send us here. In some way, it’s a way of fasting type of feeling. Well, whatever it is, I like the saying and I respect it.

Ease

For as long as we eat minimally, just enough to get us through the rest of the day. What else can we say other than that the rest will be at ease. Everything else in life we work for it, but it’s the eating that we are required to intake.

Memories

Memories may fade and move away from us, but it is important to make these memories powerful. It takes a strong person to have great memories.

Thanks

Be thankful for everything in life. However, just to mention that everything starts with food. As long as we eat correctly everything else falls in place just right. This is why it’s important to eat with honor and respect as the rest will fall in place.
