“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt

My Thoughts:

This is an important topic I want to discuss that is very challenging to people. When people have anxiety or panic attacks, it is not only that which they have, but side effects from it. Side effects are different to everyone, and it ranges from variety of side effects.

Side effects can be:

  • Eye problems such as twitch or seems like they are frozen.
  • Mouth twists or seems like unbalance where the lips are aligned.
  • Cheeks go to the left or to the right.
  • Flexing the throat.
  • Back, hip, leg, arms, and all types of body pains.
  • Stomach pulling itself in
  • Chest rising.

You see, there are so many side effects that come from anxiety and panic attacks. Also, just to mention that it is a form of stress response, not exactly side effect. I’m using the word side effect, but realistically it is caused from the stress that gets built up.

Stress Signals

Anyway, the point is that anxiety tends to cause this stress signals which is what we end up fearing. If walking down the shopping mall gives you this stress signals. Yes, the fear root is that you are walking by big crowds of people. But you tend to get the anxiety feelings by not the people, but the stress signals that the anxiety has caused.

In other words, if you stress signals are eye twitch. Then what happens is you get anxiety just from the stress signals and as if it’s not from the crowd of people at the mall. Yes, the crowd is what that triggered it, but it’s a confusing mind game at the end.

Anyway, the whole point is to face your fears and not just dwell on it.
