“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” – Ephesians 2:8‭-‬9

My Thoughts:

I want to start by saying the definition of Grace from the Merriam-Webster Dictionary:

  • unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification.
  • a virtue coming from God.
  • a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine assistance.
  • disposition to or an act or instance of kindness, courtesy, or clemency.
  • a charming or attractive trait or characteristic.
  • a short prayer at a meal asking a blessing or giving thanks.

This are just some of the definitions from Merriam-Webster Dictionary. However, I like to think of it as Forgiveness, living in the light with love, courage, thankfulness towards above and towards one another.

It’s not Our Own Doing

It is our intuitions, our thoughts, our minds that tells us our grace. It is how we feel and during grace, it is God working in us. Thats what I think it means when it says, “And this is not your own doing.” It is the connection we have with God which is the feelings (energy) that we share towards him and he with us.

According to Dictionary.com Grace means many things, but the one that stands out for me is that “favor or goodwill.” This is because we give grace due to goodwill. Just want to add that don’t ask for favors, but rather ways to achieve the favors. Meaning don’t ask for shortcuts in life but ask ways to help you to go through to achieve it soon.

Goodwill Store

Randomly came in my mind that if you have stuff you don’t need, donate it to Goodwill Stores. It is always good to do things in Goodwill as it is helpful and beneficial.
