“An ant on the move does more than a dozing ox.” – Lao Tzu

Well for first of all I would like to think of ants as more powerful than they actually look. When we think of ants, we think of animals that are not in the form of power. Ants walk a line and eat other animals waste and other foods as well. But they are so small that we tend to forget that they have a more important role in life that we bypass. Ants pretty much clean up the place by making it look dirty since there is just so many of them.

Next, I would like to explain dozing just in case you are unaware what it is. From my understanding dozing means like being asleep or kind of away from the state of mind.

According to Merriam-Webster Thesaurus: “a natural periodic loss of consciousness during which the body restores itself. dozing is a natural response to the stifling heat of summer.”

Seems Obvious

If an ox is dozing as if not in the state of mind, then of course an ant on the move is going to do more. Since the ox is at asleep point of mind then what more can the ox do compared to the moving ant? Obviously, the moving ant is going to do more compared to a dozing ox.

I think it’s important to really think how important ants are to this world. In Lion Kind we learn the Circle of Life and ants are a big part of the Circle of Life. A lot of times we are stepping on ants, and we just don’t know it. This is why it’s also important to watch the steps that we take to make sure we don’t step on ants or other insects.
