“Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result, but the cause, of fear. Perhaps the action you take will be successful; perhaps different action or adjustments will have to follow. But any action is better than no action at all.” – Norman Vincent Peale

My Thoughts:

I could say that this quote is very true, and I like it. Most people who are under fear, they try to avoid going places or being with people. In other words, they are lacking action and they are being inactive. This quote by Norman is a reminder to step up in life. If you are hiding from being at places, then only you can do the action to not hide. Get up and go places and do stuff that are involved with more people.

Places to Go

Places like shopping malls or grocery stores are a good place to stay active. If you want to go for a walk as exercise than you can simply go to the mall and walk there. You can also go hiking, but in a way that is somewhat avoiding people as there isn’t many people to be around as a shopping mall would be.

Successful

Keep in mind that taking an action can be very challenging, but the end result is very successful. Even if you are unhappy with the results of your actions, just the fact you did it is good enough. It is better to be unhappy, but to do a challenging task, than to be happy and not to do it.

You can work slowly to adjust to bigger crowds. For example, if walking in a mall is challenging to you, then you can start at smaller stores and work your way up. Day by day is the way and always trying to progress is the key role in here.
